Pain management is a speciality which focuses on finding out the cause of chronic pain. This is based on detailed evaluation with history and physical examination. In addition, different tests including some blood tests and some time investigations like CT, MRI is also needed. Treatment in pain management is tailored to its cause and individual’s associated conditions. Pain is treated using latest technology like radio frequency ablation, spinal cord stimulator, intrathecal pump, platelet rich plasma injections. These injections are done under image guidance like ultrasound or C-arm, hence safe and effective.

She completed her fellowship in Pain Management at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, USA. Dr. Sharma has numerous papers and publications to her credit. She has experience of all peripheral Nerve Blocks, Joint Injections, Radiofrequency Ablation, Spinal Cord Stimulator and Intrathecal Pump Placements which gives her added expertise in her discipline of medicine.
